Wallpaper 101 – It’s Back and It’s Classy

I am old enough to remember when wallpaper was ‘in’ and ‘hip’ followed by people celebrating after tearing their wallpaper down. Do you remember this? Did the wallpaper look something like this? To think most of the younger generation only thinks ‘wallpaper’ is referring to their smartphone image. As with all fashion and design, it’s cyclical and guess what’s back and better than ever! Not only have wallpaper designs evolved, so has the technology making it a lot easier to DIY rather than having to hire someone. Nowadays, a lot of manufacturers offer ”Paste-the-wall’ which uses a special backing paper that does not expand when it gets wet. Since it doesn’t need to soak, the paste can be applied directly to the wall which saves a lot of time compared to regular wallpapers.
